Who We Are

Stewart was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He attended Dalhousie University and obtained a BSc. in Chemistry. He moved to Victoria, British Columbia in 2011 and spent some time as a Chemistry PhD. student, He is currently in the PDP program at the University of Victoria working towards his BEd. His teaching area is science with a specialty in chemistry. He will be looking at the impact of technology on marginalized communities.
Stephanie has always lived in Victoria British Columbia. She attended Camosun College’s Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma program and bridged to the University of Victoria to complete her degree. She is currently in her first year of the PDP program at UVic with her teaching specialty being Science, in particular Physics. Stephanie’s blog posts will focus on the intersection of Technology and Education.
Catherine comes from the east coast of Canada. She grew up in Labrador City, NL and spent five years in St. John's, NL before moving all the way across the country to Victoria, BC. She has a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria, and her teaching specialty is art. She will be examining the ways in which contemporary technology reinforces existing power structures.
Zakaria was born in Casablanca Morocco, Moved to Canada in 1999. He attended Quebec University and obtained a bachelor degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer science. He moved to Victoria by the end of 2010 where he worked in Service Canada and Royal Jubilee Hospital. He is currently in the PDP program at the University of Victoria working toward his teaching licence. His teaching area is Math. He will be looking at the impact of technology on education (more on students).
